Trip overview
The South Valley Tour is an excellent way to discover the archaeological, cultural and colonial richness around Cusco.
Along the way you will visit important historical sites such as Tipón, Pikillaqta and Andahuaylillas, known as the «Sistine Chapel of America» for the beauty of its paintings and interior decoration.
It is a half-day circuit, so it combines easily with another tour on the same trip to Cusco.

The route, step by step
Hotel pickup. We collect you from hotels in the historic centre of Cusco from 9:00 a.m. and set off toward the South Valley.
Tipón. A guided visit to the Tipón archaeological complex, known for its remarkable terraces and advanced Inca hydraulic system.
Pikillaqta. A tour of this ancient pre-Inca city built by the Wari culture, considered one of the most important archaeological complexes in southern Peru.
Andahuaylillas. A visit to the church of San Pedro Apóstol de Andahuaylillas, known as the «Sistine Chapel of America», famous for its murals, paintings and colonial altars.
Return. We head back to the city, arriving around 3:00 p.m. and ending the tour near the Plaza de Armas.

- No. It costs S/10.00 for nationals and S/15.00 for foreigners, and is paid directly at the church.
