Trip overview
The Maras and Moray ATV Tour is an adventure on wheels through some of the most striking landscapes of the Sacred Valley. You will ride an ATV along rural roads to the Moray archaeological complex, enjoy a panoramic view of the Maras Salt Mines, and pass through the traditional colonial town of Maras.
Before setting off you will get a safety briefing and a driving practice session, so no previous experience is required.
There are two daily shifts, morning and afternoon, each about 6 hours including the transfer from Cusco.
Itinerary overview
Half day- Pickup from Plaza Regocijo or hotels near the historic centre
- One-hour transfer to the ATV base in Cruzpata
- Safety briefing and driving practice (15 minutes)
- ATV ride to Moray, with a guided visit
- Return by ATV to the base
- Panoramic visit to the Maras Salt Mines
- Return to Cusco
The route, step by step
Pickup. We collect passengers from Plaza Regocijo or from hotels near the historic centre of Cusco.
Transfer to the ATV base. We head to Cruzpata, about an hour away, where the ATV operations base is located.
Safety briefing and driving practice. Before setting off you will get a safety briefing, receive your gear, and complete about 15 minutes of driving practice with the guide.
Moray. We ride our ATVs to the Moray archaeological complex, where we take a guided visit to its circular terraces.
Return to the base. We ride back to Cruzpata to board the tourist transport.
Maras Salt Mines. We continue on to the Maras Salt Mines, passing through the traditional colonial town of Maras, for a panoramic visit with time for photographs.
Return to Cusco. Once the tour is finished, we head back to the city of Cusco.

- No. It is a panoramic visit with a stop for photographs, and you access the site by transport.
- Is the Tourist Ticket included?
- No. The Partial Tourist Ticket is paid separately, directly to the Ministry of Culture.
